Lacy filigree gives this pendant its delicate, airy character. Made in 14ct white gold, it hangs from a small diamond-set bail and measures 44mm by 17mm, with fine scrollwork and openwork curves surrounding a hexagonal setting at its centre. Diamonds totalling approximately 0.11ct are set at intervals down its length, one in the bail, one near the top, a brighter central stone and one at the base, each catching the light against the pierced metal. A scalloped, beaded edge frames the whole design and gives it a soft, lace-like outline. The pendant comes on an 18 inch chain in 9ct white gold. Light in feel yet rich in detail, it would sit comfortably at a neckline and appeals to anyone who loves the intricate metalwork of early twentieth-century jewellery.
