Victorian Ruby and Diamond Ring

A Victorian ruby and diamond ring in 9ct yellow gold, dated 1899 and set with a central diamond of approximately 0.05ct between two rubies totalling approximately 0.14ct. The design is compact and balanced, with the stones arranged in a clean horizontal line across a softly tapered gold band. The oval rubies bring a rich red contrast to the centre diamond, while the enclosed gold setting gives the ring a smooth, continuous surface. Small engraved scroll details at each end add definition without interrupting the clarity of the design. It is a restrained late Victorian piece with a strong everyday character.
