Citrine & Seed Pearl Ring

A London hallmarked 1972 ring in 9ct yellow gold, set with an oval cut citrine framed by clusters of seed pearls. The 2.15ct citrine is held within an open scalloped setting, with textured gold detailing throughout the mount. The warm golden tone of the citrine sits naturally against the rich yellow gold, while the seed pearls soften the composition and introduce contrast around the outer edges. The arrangement has a distinctly decorative late twentieth-century character, drawing on earlier Victorian and Edwardian revival influences. Bold in colour but balanced in scale, the ring has a strong presence on the hand without appearing heavy.
