Rod of Caduceus Pearl Brooch

The rod of caduceus is believed to be the staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and consequently by Hermes Trismegistus in Greco-Egyptian mythology. The brooch is adorned with lustrous seed pearls, cascading down it’s twisted design, leading to the simple pin attachment on its reverse. As there are no original hallmarks on the brooch, we have tested the piece as 14ct yellow gold, with an 18ct yellow gold plating.
