Pre 1930’s Heart Shaped Opal Bar Brooch

The October birthstone sits at the core of this beautiful piece, displaying flashes of rich blue and orange. Believed to be a symbol of faithfulness and confidence, its romantic shape is elegantly complemented by a single, old cut diamond. Rope details wrap across its sides, knotting their way around to the brooch’s reverse. Underneath its clasp, a 15ct hallmark can be discovered, dating this piece back to pre 1931, when the production of 15ct ceased.
