April’s Birthstone is Diamond, the ultimate Gemstone. Diamond is the hardest substance found in nature, hence its name- the word “Diamond” comes from the Greek “adamastos,” which means “invincible.” Adding to this statement is another that claims nothing can scratch a diamond except for another diamond.

Pure diamond is colourless even if  there are other ones which are available in several colours. Diamond refracts light really well, probably why they sparkle so well and ooze shine and extravagance.

The diamond has always been the symbol of enduring love and is often given as an engagement ring. A diamond is also said to bring wealth and happiness as well as protection to its owner.
